3D Printing
Not just for making useless tat any more. But also that, yes.
Admittedly more of a hobby than a discipline, 3D printing's something that I think most workplaces don't consider in terms of how it can improve their workflows and their product.
From cable routing to server hardware mounts, to bespoke mascots and effective zero-cost custom publicity material, 3D printing has been slept on for too long. If that intrigues you, I'd love to talk your ear off about it.
I've been a keen printer and designer for years. That basically means a lot of time working out what went wrong with the printer - although more recent Bambu printers have really revolutionized that.
