Ecommerce

Money can be exchanged for goods and services.

Ecommerce is big business these days. And when your website is literally responsible for your ability to do that business, there's a couple of things you want: stability, a wide support base for your platform, speed, big flashy pictures. Probably a carousel (ugh).

But there's other considerations. User experience is a big one - every time you make your user think about how to do what they're doing, you'll lose a massive portion of your sales because people demand an intuitive, effortless experience these days.

Usually I'd recommend Magento - it's painful, but it's a pain the developer goes through, leaving a pretty seamless customer and shop support experience. It's a solid choice, which is why it's my go-to.
