Ops Development
"Ops development" is a slightly vague catch-all that covers "doing the stuff that enables people to do the stuff that makes money" - or at least that's how I'd define it. Setting up servers, establishing development pipelines, fixing computers - Devops.
I'd say most developers have some expertise in devops because most devs are to some extent self-trained which means setting up your own stuff. I made the step over into professional devops accidentally and thoroughly enjoyed it, setting up build pipelines and server architecture.
Then I worked with a guy who really knew AWS and devops and got back in my place. If you want a build server, or your Linux wrangling, or servers setting up for your production deliverables - I'm your fella. If you want an ECS cluster with horizontal scaling of your loosely-coupled microservice architecture with Kubernetes... well, I'm always happy to learn as I go, but you need to know I'm doing it.
