Technical writing
Technical writing is the skill of expressing technical information clearly and concisely.
It is, as a field, extremely volatile to the advent of AI - LLMs are excellent at writing copy. However, editorial consideration will always be essential; the copy needs proof reading, and the more the editor knows about the subject matter and also language, the better.
Similarly to the ability to fix version management, I'd recommend that any team has at least one person who understands the code and is capable of stringing together a sentence.
I've been taking up the informal task of writing documentation for years, just as someone who cares about language and hates to see it mangled by the unenthusiastic (many developers, without criticism, have a very utilitarian approach to writing).
I've recently taken the opportunity to refresh myself and bolster my mighty A-Level in English Language with more focused technical language training.
